©ARL COMMS LIMITED 2012               is a UK based company established in 2010 by a team that have been involved in telecommunications, security and business across the globe for nearly 30 years. Our objective was to take the best of the old with the best of the new to create something special that was founded upon our knowledge and experience and the needs of users in the emergency service arena. In conjunction with industry partners and potential users - emergency responders, government, military, academia - EARL (Emergency Area Radio Link) was launched. EARL allows true communications interoperability between organisations and specifically allows interoperability between emergency services at an incident wherever assets may be globally - surprisingly something that did not already exist. Organisations now have the ability to communicate securely using their existing equipment for voice, video, instant messaging and data exchange from PC-PC; 2way radio-PC and 2way radio-2way radio across multiple organisations or departments anywhere in the world irrelevant of the software, hardware or frequencies in operation. The system also allows machine to machine (M2M) and machine to human (M2H) interaction. Following a successful company debut at HOSDB at Farnborough 2011 as part of the DSTL/Cabinet Office Project RADIANCE team the EARL communications system was launched to the defence market. This project was also the basis for the development of EARL Commander, a Command and Control facility and a decision making aid for Operation and Incident Commanders. Its flexibility allows decision makers to organise what information they want provided - human or machine based - and EARL provides the technology link to allow that to happen. Coupled with the ability to share this data , as required, through the organisation or incident control structure assists in faster, more informed and better decision making. We are currently working with the corporate and education sectors to adapt to their needs, dealing with increased international demand, strengthening our global partnerships and installing bespoke communications networks. While we accept that there are continuing severe economic constraints for many organisations the evidence indicates that the economics of the EARL system are increasingly attractive against traditional proprietary systems.
